Job description
To provide radio-analytical services to the NNR for the independent verification purposes. Perform Radioanalysis for Gross A/B and Alpha Spectrometry
Duties and Responsibilities
- Sample receipt, preparation and counting
- Assist with calibration and maintenance of peripheral instrumentation and facilities
- Assist in the purchasing of laboratory consumables and other items
- Assist with the administration of samples
- Assist with method development and method validation
- Perform routine sample preparation tasks assigned for the Gamma Spectrometry/ alpha Spectrometry techniques/ Gross Alpha /Beta
- Maintain general safety of facilities according to the appropriate safety Management System( waste management)

Minimum requirements
Requirements
- Minimum NQF level 7 in Physics/Chemistry or Mechanical/Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Radio Analysis and/or Radiation
