Job description

Strategic leadership of all finance, supply chain management and assets management activities to ensure financial sustainability of the organization. Compliant statutory reporting to management, board, executive authority, legislature, and all other designated authorities by relevant legislation

Minimum requirements

  • NQF level 7 in Accounting or Financial Management and NQF level 8 in Finance or Business Administration
  • CA(SA) will an added advantage
  • At least 10 years’ post articles work experience of which 5 years have been at an Executive/Senior Management level position
  •  Proven track record of clean financial management and administration
  • Up to date knowledge of financial and accounting standards and practices
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legislative framework that governs finance and supply chain management in State Owned Entities environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in Corporate Governance

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement finance strategic and operational plans aligned to overall NNR’s strategic thrust.
  • Design, develop and oversee implementation of adequate, efficient, and effective system of internal controls including policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Oversee compilation of the organization’s short and long-term financial resources plans to execute the mandate and strategic deliverables.
  • Compile complete and accurate statutory financial reports for the organization and present them to all governance structures and authorities as required by law.
  • Design, develop and oversee implementation of a fair, equitable, transparent, competitive and cost-effective system of supply chain management
  • Provide efficient and effective assets management system from acquisition to disposal
  • Oversee the audit process by both Internal and External auditors as a lead Auditee.
  • Represent the organization in all relevant stakeholders’ forums both locally and internationally.
  • Research and innovate to continuously improve the financial administrative environment of the organization.
  • Ensure adequate financial management capacity at all times through acquisition of requisite skills, continuous training and development, retention, and sound human resources management practices.
  • Execute special projects as requested by both the Executive Management Committee and the Chief Executive Officer
  • Provide quarterly and annual reports to the Board Committees, NNR Board as well as other government forums and Committees
